Paediatric-Adolescent Treatment Africa (PATA)
Young people struggling with substance use, mental health, or behavioural challenges need somewhere they can access care without judgment. PATA works with adolescents and young adults across Cape Town who are navigating addiction, trauma, or developmental difficulties—situations where early intervention can reshape a trajectory entirely. The organisation combines clinical expertise with community-based support, meeting young people where they are rather than waiting for them to reach crisis point. For families caught in these circumstances, having access to specialists who understand the particular pressures facing Cape Town youth—economic hardship, gang activity, social isolation—makes the difference between ongoing struggle and genuine recovery pathways.
