Leadership matters significantly—whether the imam is knowledgeable, approachable, and responsive to congregation concerns shapes whether people stay or look elsewhere. Sound facilities should be adequate so elderly worshippers and those in back areas can hear clearly. During Ramadan especially, quality becomes visible in how well iftar is organised, whether quranic recitation programmes are offered, and how welcoming the space feels during night prayers. A masjid with engaged volunteers, active community programmes, and transparent financial management typically draws stronger attendance and generates broader trust than one where these elements are weak or absent.
