Buffalo Backpackers operates in the daily reality of the Eastern Cape coast: visitors arrive on long-distance bus routes, some overnight from Johannesburg; others are passing through toward the Garden Route. The hostel handles the mechanics of that flow — linen changes between guests, water usage in a region where municipal supply can be inconsistent, security for shared spaces where strangers coexist for short periods. The staff understand what travellers actually need at this stage of their journey: luggage storage, laundry facilities, information about local transport connections, and a common area that works whether guests are staying one night or five. It's infrastructure built for transience, not permanence.
